Outrigger Reef Waikiki Beach Resort is a beachfront hotel in Waikiki with an intimate beach that's smaller and more tide-affected than many Waikiki shores, but just a short walk to the expansive Fort DeRussy Beach Park. Pool Area The resort's outdoor pool opens daily from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Pool chairs are available on a first-come, first-served basis, and private poolside cabanas and daybeds can be rented for added comfort. There are no lifeguards on duty at the pool. Beach Area & Rentals The stretch of sand directly in front of Outrigger Reef is relatively narrow and subject to noticeable tidal changes—guests often find it quieter than other Waikiki beaches. For a broader shoreline experience, Fort DeRussy Beach Park is within easy walking distance. Although the beachfront itself is public, registered guests receive complimentary beach towels and may rent umbrellas, boogie boards, and other watersports equipment through the on-site beach services desk. Surf lessons and stand-up paddleboard rentals are coordinated with nearby operators, and portions of the shoreline are patrolled by lifeguards during peak hours; however, conditions can vary, so guests should stay aware of current surf advisories and exercise caution when venturing beyond the shallow break.
